Welkom, bienvenue, willkommen!
We know it is easy to love a country famous for chocolate and beer, and we will not let you down again this year, but there is so much more to Belgium than delicious waffles, exceptional chocolate and the best beers in the world! Did you know that Belgium is a very multicultural country and has three official languages? Belgium is home to more than 900 US companies who enjoy its location at the heart of Europe, top infrastructure, and unparalleled lifestyle. World-class universities and research centers, as well as tech and start-up friendly cities attract young people from all over Europe and the world. Home to visual arts innovators such as Van Eyck, Rubens or Magritte, and the best comic-strip artists, Belgium has a thriving arts scene. We are also a close ally of the United States: as part of the commemorations of the centenary of US involvement in WWI, we will be hosting the exhibit ‘The Great War in Broad Outlines’.
