What's Happening with Trade Around the World?
Wednesday, January 24th 2018

Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center

Washington, DC 20004
While the United States renegotiates NAFTA and focuses on trade law enforcement, what is the rest of the world doing on trade? Will the EU do trade deals with Japan and Mexico? What about RCEP and TPP-11?
WITA's second annual look at what is happening around the world of trade outside the United States.
From One Belt and One Road to Brexit, the Pacific Alliance and TPP-11, the world is moving on international trade policy. The WTO currently lists 39 bilateral and regional trade agreements under negotiation, with the U.S. party to one of those. How are governments outside the U.S. reshaping the rules of trade through new free trade negotiations, investment programs, and regional agreements while the United States focuses on things like bilateral trade balances, and trade law enforcements?
Please join WITA as we bring together leaders from across the globe to discuss what is happening outside the U.S. on trade in 2018.
