The incoming US administration has signaled major policy shifts that could affect the transatlantic relationship, particularly in the areas of energy production, trade and climate policy. What is the role of transatlantic cooperation in light of these new priorities? How do our European partners and Allies assess the transition in Washington? What is the potential agenda for US-EU energy dialogue in the next four years? Dominique Ristori, Director General for Energy for the European Commission, Michał Kurtyka, Deputy Prime Minister of Energy for Poland, and Ambassador Richard Morningstar (ret.), Founding Director and Chairman, Atlantic Council Global Energy Center will discuss the changing nature of the transatlantic energy relationship. Emily Meredith, Deputy Bureau Chief for Energy Intelligence, will moderate the conversation. Piotr Naimski, Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure for Poland, and Global Energy Center Deputy Director Thomas Cunningham will make introductory remarks.The Energy Diplomacy Initiative (EDI), as part of the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center, aims to drive a global conversation on critical climate and energy security challenges, with the objective to prevent conflict and build bridges through energy ties, provide everyone with access to reliable, affordable, sustainable, and modern energy, and galvanize communities for climate action around more stable, secure, and prosperous world.
