The Embassy of Latvia, in cooperation with The Washington Diplomat, is facilitating Ambassador of Latvia Andris Teikmanis’ participation in the public discussion format “Ambassador Insider Series” on April 18. The conversation with Ambassador Teikmanis will be moderated by the managing editor of the publication Anna Gawel. The discussion will cover the topics of Latvia’s centennial in 2018, the recent US-Baltic Summit at the White House, dynamic bilateral economic cooperation, culture and other topics. The discussion will be followed by a brief question and answer session. After the discussion there will be a networking reception.
Ambassador Andris Teikmanis has been in the Latvian foreign service since 1994. He has been Latvia’s ambassador to the Council of Europe, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, as well as non-residing ambassador to Australia and New Zealand. Ambassador Teikmanis has also been the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, and since August 2016, he has been serving as Latvia’s Ambassador to the United States of America.
