BELGIUM: Tintin Comic Strip Workshop

This event is also being held on Sunday October 27 at 12:00 PM.

What it is about…

The Embassy of Belgium is excited to bring you a Tintin drawing workshop. Based on the famous Belgian comic strip, The Adventures of Tintin, children will have the opportunity to learn the basics of drawing the famous comic book hero from the best in the business. The workshop will include a demonstration by the Yves Février, head of digital at Moulinsart, followed by a hands-on drawing session with iPad Pros and Apple Pencils.

Yves Février has a legal background and is specialized in several fields: finance, media and intellectual property. He has worked in various firms including the laws firms associated with Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse Cooper.  Currently, Mr. Février wears several "bowler hats"!  He is a lecturer at the European Communication School of Brussels where he participates, as a digital expert, in the Advanced Master in Ecommerce and Digital Communication. He has also been the head of digital for 20 years at Moulinsart  (the company that manages, for the world, the rights related to Hergé's work, including those related to the Adventures of Tintin), and was recently president of an association of film producers and a member of an advisory committee for audiovisual production.  He is well-versed in digital issues and those related to intangible asset management, as well as in Hergé's work.
