*** COVID-19 Update ***
Due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 and in line with the most recent guidance from the California Department of Public Health and the City of Berkeley Health Office, the California-European Union Energy Efficiency Forum is postponed.
This decision was made with the health, safety and well-being of our community as our number one priority. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this postponement may cause, and we will keep you informed as soon as a future date has been set.
Can efficient blueprints today save the blue planet for tomorrow? What role must the building sector play in efforts to reduce carbon emissions?
The California-European Union Energy Efficiency Forum will convene sustainability practitioners, researchers and leading energy efficiency experts from California and the European Union to discuss high-performance innovation in the built environment. This international forum will serve as an opportunity to engage with leading experts on the latest developments in energy-efficient building and explore best practices. U.S. and European experts will discuss long-term strategies on accelerating energy efficiency and achieving carbon neutrality. Aimed at industry professionals, local governments, and researchers working to decarbonize the building sector, this forum features technical experts who will share their experiences on topics such as:
- Zero-carbon and passive construction
- Grid decarbonization
- Buildings as energy systems
- Energy-efficient retrofits for high-rises and public housing
- Energy efficiency in a carbon-neutral transition
This event is by invitation only.
The California-European Union Energy Efficiency Forum is a partnership of the European Union, the Embassy of Belgium and the California Energy Commission.
