‘The Ugly Duckling’, ‘The Snow Queen’ and ‘The little Mermaid’ are only some of the titles of all the wonderful fairy tales written by the famous Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. On Saturdays, all summer long since 1956, New York children have gathered around Hans Christian Andersen's statue at the Conservatory Pond in Central Park to hear his tales told by a fine ensemble of storytellers. Due to COVID-19, the stories have been told virtually this year, which now enables children from all around the world to dive into Hans Christian Andersen’s fantastic fantasy world.

If you want to learn how to cook the very famous and traditional Danish dish ‘Æbleskiver’ (Pancake Puffs), you should follow the instructions from the Chef at the Embassy of Denmark, Jens Fisker, as he guides you through the video.
Pancake Puffs are one of the oldest kinds of pastry known in Denmark, and Danes usually eat them at Christmas time when meeting in bigger or smaller groups for some ‘hygge’. So, you have a couple of months for practicing!

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup plain flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 egg yolk
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 3 egg whites
- Orange zest and juice from an orange
