Embassy of Poland - EU Open House

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the rebirth of Poland, and we would like to invite all Americans to celebrate this incredible anniversary with us!  Our embassy is the longest continuously serving diplomatic building in Washington, D.C. and has witnessed no shortage of momentous events over the years.

Tour our historic building and learn interesting facts about Polish history, culture and traditions. Discover fine Polish art and indulge in traditional Polish food. As always, we will have special activities prepared for even the youngest visitors.

The open house will feature the 111 digitized volumes of the Polish Declaration of Admiration and Friendship for the United States from 1926, which were made available in cooperation with the Polish Library in Washington, D.C. Thanks to its digitalization, the Declaration has become easily accessible and is a rich source of historical and genealogical information pertaining to the Interwar Period in Poland. Come look through its pages of over 5.5 million signatures!

Also be sure to check out the online app created so that Americans offer their congratulations on the 100th anniversary of Poland’s rebirth with a personalized e-card.
