Embassy of Sweden - EU Open House

Have you ever wanted to visit Sweden? Now’s your chance!

Be part of our big Guerrilla Yarn Craft Challenge while enjoying a refreshing beverage. On May 11th we open our doors for everyone to come and experience Sweden. Take the opportunity to ask a Swede something you’ve always wondered about our Scandinavian country while sampling some Swedish fika and sweets from Ikea.

Our famous rooftop overlooking the Potomac will be set up as a lounge where guests can relax and enjoy the sunshine, while listing to Swedish tunes.

The current exhibitions at House of Sweden will also be open. Come in and discover the Art of Swedish 97-year old Artist Siri Berg and let your creativity loose in our guerrilla yarn craft making workshop. Our youngest guests can also explore our children’s room with ‘Funky Town installation’ and create the next smart and urban city as part of this year´s program #SmartSocieties

In addition to the activities and exhibits, there will also be giveaways and competitions for guests to participate in. Welcome to our open house filled with activities, culture and a variety of Swedish companies.

Welcome to Sweden!

Doors will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This embassy is accessible by wheelchair.
