EU at NCSL

You’re invited to Europe… in Nasvhille, Tennessee! The European Union Delegation to the United States will be attending the National Conference of State Legislatures for the first time at the 2019 Legislative Summit from August 6-8, 2019.

In the Exhibit Hall, all week long, the European Union will operate the European Coffee House at Booth #1109. There, you can meet EU experts on trade, privacy, climate action, human rights, and more, for policy conversations and of course, free coffee! Throughout the week, the EU will hold dedicated programming to talk to American partners about specific issues of mutual concern to deepen ties and increase collaboration.

In addition, European experts will host a mini-session on human rights and the death penalty on Tuesday, August 7 in the Learning Hub. During this mini-session, entitled Measuring the Real Cost of the Death Penalty, join European experts in a conversation focused on the human, reputational, and economic costs of the death penalty, and what repeal could mean for your state.
