Curated by Madrid-based architect Edgar Gonzalez, EXPORT is a visual narrative of the great talent of Spanish architects working beyond their borders over the past 15 years. Divided into two components, the exhibition discusses both traditional practices and emerging areas in architecture, while helping viewers appreciate the greater challenges that Spanish architects face today. The terminal in Yokohama by Foreign Office Architects (2002) and the renovation of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos (2014) serve as chronological bookends for the show.
