The French Embassy celebrates the French Presidency of the European Union with the Film Series Europa 2022. Kicking off February 8 with a screening and panel discussion every Tuesday until March, each evening will highlight a different side of the multi-faceted European Union.
These films will open the debates on the great hopes that drive the European Union, feelings of common identity, the political issues raised by the Greek crisis, and the premise of European philosophy. What does it mean to be European, and which experiences have strengthened this feeling? What do we share and how do we learn it? Do we sometimes get lost in translation? How has the EU evolved through the years?
Panel discussions with experts following each film will address topics such as student exchanges and higher education, space exploration and tech cooperation, perspectives on the European institutions, and questions of cultural identity.
