What it is about…
The workshop “Colored birds with paper wings” is a great opportunity to rethink the art of illustration that is usually perceived as flat (2D) drawings and to find new ways to give shape to your story. Using simple things like colorful paper, staplers or glue, we will create 3D objects and create characters that would reflect ourselves. The workshop is made up for children of 6-12 years old; however, everyone is welcome to join and craft with paper.
Ieva Babilaite has illustrated nineteen children's books, written by other authors and herself. A graduate of the Graphic Art Department MA and Art Therapy of Vilnius Academy of Art (Lithuania), a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union and the Lithuanian section of IBBY. Her artistic merit and the originality of her works have been acknowledged by many international prizes and awards.
