About the Film:
Alessandro (Andrea Carpenzano) is a tempestuous young slacker. He has lost his mother when he was two, and has become the torment of his father – a peddler in Porta Portese, the local flea-market – who can’t imagine a future for that idle and furious son, and is unable to find the key to his heart. Giorgio (Giuliano Montaldo) is a former poet in the early stages of Alzheimer syndrome: he can still move, but his mind is drifting relentlessly away from the present.
The two live within a stone’s throw of one another, but their paths have never crossed … until Alessandro is forced to accompany the old man on his afternoon walks.
