As the crisis in Qatar most recently underscored, the Trump administration and our European allies face a series of bedeviling challenges and longstanding rivalries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). From the wars in Syria and Yemen to instability in the Sinai and Libya, the U.S. and the European Union are searching out common policies to bring stability to the region. All of this occurs against the backdrop of President Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia and Israel and an ongoing review of U.S. policy toward Iran.

On Wednesday, June 21, please join Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Mike Doran as he welcomes Nick Westcott, the European External Action Service’s Managing Director for the MENA, to discuss European views on these issues and others, as well as avenues for cooperation moving forward.

This event will be live streamed on Hudson's homepage. Doors will open at 5:00 pm and the event will begin at 5:30 pm.
