T-2505_crop-400x365

Collector and former Textile Museum trustee Lloyd Cotsen challenged thirty-seven leading fiber artists worldwide to create a three-dimensional work to fit inside a standard box. The Box Project showcases the dynamic results.

Organized by the Cotsen Foundation for Academic Research with the Racine Art Museum.

Several of the 36 artists in the show are natives of EU member states and here are the ones we know of:

Estonia: Aune Taamal, Tallinn

Finland: Agneta Hobin, Helsinki

Germany: Zane Berzina, Berlin; Peter Weber, Munich; Heidrun Schimmel, Bamberg

Hungary: Gyongy Laky, San Francisco, CA

Sweden: Helena Hernmarck, Ridgefield, CT

UK: Pat Hodson, Sheffield
