EU at Spring Meetings
At the 2019 Spring Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (April 12-14), the European Union will engage with international partners on a wide range of issues, including Sustainable Development Goals and financing for development and education, G20 finance cooperation, sustainable and climate finance, corporate taxation, human capital, regulatory cooperation on financial services, and specific geographic programs..
The EU will be represented by the following Commissioners :
- Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice-President for the Euro and Social Dialogue, Financial Services & Markets @VDombrovskis
- Johannes Hahn, EU-Commissioner for European Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations @JHahnEU
- Neven Mimica, EU-Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, @MimicaEU
- Pierre Moscovici Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs @pierremoscovici
Other EU high-level officials include the President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi, the President of the European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer, the President of the European Stability Mechanism, Klaus Regling, the Chair of the Single Resolution Board Elke König, the Chair of the Single Supervisory Mechanism, Andrea Enria and other senior EU officials. Also visiting Washington, DC next week are European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos, and the European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, Vera Jourova.
